Lately I’ve seen a LOT of posts on social media by people who are stressed out, exhausted, or overwhelmed by the holidays. For some, it’s the lengthiness of their holiday to-do list, for others, it’s a minefield of emotional triggers, and for even others, it’s something else entirely. Whatever the cause promoting all this negativity and lack of self-care, it makes me want to do something to help!
We focus so much on doing for others during the holidays, which is both necessary and noble, but if we don’t take care of ourselves, we can’t be there for others. Balance is needed, as always. Finding the rhythm that works for you to maintain your holiday spirit can seem out of reach.
So here’s what I’m doing – running a FREE, 12-day accountability group on Facebook. We’ll support and encourage each other to take care of ourselves, make sure we drink enough water, eat as well as we can during the holidays, and stick to whatever workout schedule we individually think is right for us during this busy time of year. In summary – we’ll hold each other accountable to some self-care.
