You hear me? People will frequently say that “failure is not an option,” which we have interpreted to mean that we’re not allowed to fail. But that same phrase can be read another way. Failure is not an option, it’s a certainty. If you want success, real success, first you must fail. Failure is how we learn, grow, and improve. Of course, failure alone is not enough. We must take that failure and then do something with what it gave us. Failure is the crucible for our ideas and plans, hopes and dreams. Failure is what drives our amazing human capability to adapt and excel. It is a requirement for, a prerequisite to, real success.
Do you need more help with embracing and learning from failure, or allowing it to propel you forward to your own definition of success? Apply here to be individually coached by me, Jamie Carrieri.
We’ve become so accustomed to interpreting the popular phrase, “failure is not an option,” negatively, I’ve decided to change it. From now on, remember that failure is NOT optional. Embrace it.
